PIM Ingest Client

Describes the custom software used to ingest PIM documents and supporting materials (CAD models, images, text, etc) into the DSpace archive.
The application creates a set of DSpace SIPs (Submission Information Packages) and optionally submits them immediately to the archive.
Prototype Two/DSpace Ingest
Final version of DSpace Ingest (ca. April 2009). PIMTools.zip (includes PIMIngest.java)
Describes PIMIngest, the command-line utility that ingests a PIM project into DSpace.
PIMIngest has these functions:
- Preparation for ingest by analyzing file formats and proposing new BitstreamFormat entries in DSpace.
- Initial ingest of the PIM metadata and resource files into a DSpace Collection.
- Incremental ingest of added or changed content and PIM.
- Selective ingest of certain files.
